Vision Statement
The Delinquency Prevention Council envisions that all children, youth and families grow and prosper because a positive and healthy environment is provided through collaborative efforts of individuals, organizations and institutions in Jefferson County communities.Mission Statement
The mission of the Delinquency Prevention Council is to bring Jefferson County together by mobilizing community involvement to prevent juvenile delinquency and substance abuse through the promotion of research-based substance abuse, delinquency prevention, and intervention programs within schools and the community.Goal and Objectives
Strategic issues from the 2005 strategic plan are: 1. How do we evolve our approach to preventing juvenile delinquency to a higher level? 2. How will we build our funding with regard to DPC and key stakeholders to position ourselves for success in the future? 3. How can we bring needed stakeholders around the table? 4. How can we create public awareness and engagement? Each of the five committees has goals, objectives, and performance measures that address each strategic issue.Regular Meetings
