Vision Statement

The Wisconsin Abstinence Coalition will create a receptive community attitude for an increase of abstinence until marriage curriculums. Community teenagers, with the guidance of concerned and knowledgeable parents, mentors and teachers, will make mature, responsible decisions that will insure happy and healthy lives.

Mission Statement

The Wisconsin Abstinence Coalition is a non-profit informational and educational organization with the goal of instructing, supporting and promoting sexual abstinence until marriage. The coalition promotes the teaching of character education that fosters healthy lifestyles.

Goal and Objectives

1. To provide a value-based Save Sex initiative that encourages: a)sexual abstinence until marriage, b)healthy dating relationships, c)affirmation of personal worth, d)respect of self and others, e)informed and guided decision-making, and f)belief in marriage as a cornerstone of society. 2. To support teen decision-making through guidance on: a) risk assessment, b)peer pressure, c)media messages, d)goal setting, e)communication skills, f)problem-solving, g)alcohol and drug use, and h)gender differences 3. To prevent the consequences of premarital sex by: a)targeting 12-14 yr.olds, b)providing factual information, c)encouraging a chaste lifestyle, d)promoting positive role models, and e)promoting the only risk-free standard-abstinence. 4. To develop an adult support system in the community by: a)training teachers, clergy, doctors, counselors, mentors, b) conducting parent seminars, and c) recruiting and training local abstinence experts 5. To insure continuance of these goals by: a)timely scheduling of future events and seminars, b)forming media and business partnerships, c)developing and recommending resources, d)enlisting the support of local organizations

To date, all funding is from private donors and receipts from resource sales or program fees. We have a volunteer staff.
